00:00:00:01Project file — Convert
Coming soon · Android first
Any format in. The one you need out.
Creovia Convert is a video and audio converter for Android that runs entirely on your device: change format, compress to a size that will actually send, pull out an MP3, a GIF or a single frame, and batch the lot — using the codecs already in your phone, with nothing uploaded.

00:00:04:08What it is
A toolbox, not an editor.
Creator is where you make something. Convert is the bench beside it: pick a file, choose what it should become, convert, save or share. Four steps, no timeline to learn, and the encoder is the one already in your phone — so there is no upload, no queue on someone else's machine, and no account to make first.
On the device, every time
Convert drives the video hardware already in your phone — the same silicon the camera app records with — so encoding is accelerated wherever the device allows it. Nothing is uploaded; airplane mode changes nothing.
Told before, not after
The estimated output size, the percentage saved, and warnings like “4K at 60 fps in H.264 is slow on this device” appear while you're still choosing — not in the result screen.
Nothing to sign up for
No accounts and no sign-in — nothing to register for, no password to lose. The free tier carries ads; Pro removes them.
00:00:07:00Formats
What goes in, what comes out.
- Reads
- MP4 · MOV · MKV · WebM · AVI, plus audio and image files
- Writes
- MP4 · MOV · MKV* · GIF · M4A · MP3* · WAV*
- Video encoders
- H.264 · HEVC / H.265* (where the device has the encoder)
- Audio encoders
- AAC · MP3* · PCM (WAV)*
* Pro formats. VP9 and AV1 can be read but not yet written — the app hides an encoder the device doesn't have rather than failing partway through a job.
00:00:11:00The toolbox
16 jobs, each done properly.
Every tool below is a real screen in the app, not a menu item pointing at the same dialog. Open any of them for what it does and what it can't.
Convert & compress
The core job: a file that won't open becomes one that will, and a file too big to send becomes one that sends. Both run on the codecs already in your phone.
00:01:04:12
Convert
The format it needs to be, not the one it came as.
Change container and codec — MP4, MOV, MKV, GIF, M4A, MP3, WAV — using the device's own encoders. Pick the output, tap Convert.

00:01:19:00
Compress
Three ways to ask for smaller.
Quality tier, an explicit bitrate, or a target file size in megabytes — with the estimated output shown before you commit.
How it works →
00:01:33:08
Resize
The resolution the destination actually wants.
4K, 1080p, 720p, 480p, a custom size, or keep the original — with aspect lock and an optional frame-rate change.
How it works →
Audio & MP3
Pulling sound out of picture, and moving it between formats — including proper MP3, which Android can't make on its own.
00:02:06:00
PROVideo to MP3
A real MP3 encoder, not a renamed file.
Turn any clip's audio into a genuine MP3, encoded on your device at the bitrate you choose.
How it works →
00:02:18:14
Extract audio
Keep the sound, drop the picture.
Lift a clip's audio into an M4A (AAC) file in one tap — a free preset, no settings required.
How it works →
00:02:31:02
Audio convert
Start from a song, not a video.
Feed Convert an audio file and it converts between M4A, MP3 and WAV — showing only the outputs that make sense for a sound-only source.
How it works →
00:02:44:20
Ringtone maker
Forty seconds, then it's your phone's voice.
Trim up to 40 seconds out of any clip or song, save it to your Ringtones, and set it as ringtone, notification or alarm.
How it works →
Stills & GIF
The jobs that turn moving pictures into things you can paste into a chat, a doc, or a bug report.
00:03:07:12
Video to GIF
The clip, pasteable anywhere.
Export up to 30 seconds as a looping GIF, with the frame rate and width you choose.
How it works →
00:03:20:06
Extract frame
One frame, straight to the gallery.
Grab the still on screen as a JPEG — a thumbnail, a poster frame, or proof of what you saw.
How it works →
00:03:32:18
Photo to JPG
For everything that won't open a HEIC.
Convert stills — including iPhone HEIC/HEIF — to plain JPEG, several at a time, into their own gallery album.
How it works →
Transforms
Small edits that belong to a conversion rather than an edit suite — applied in the same pass, so the file is encoded once.
00:04:05:00
Trim, crop & rotate
Fix the framing on the way out.
Dual-handle trim with a filmstrip scrubber, 90° rotation and horizontal flip, and crop to 1:1, 9:16, 16:9, 4:5 or your own aspect.
How it works →
00:04:18:12
Speed
Quarter speed to quadruple.
Retime a clip in six steps from 0.25× to 4× — slow motion at one end, timelapse at the other.
How it works →
00:04:31:04
Reverse
Play it backwards.
Reverse up to 60 seconds of video. Frames are decoded and cached to disk first, so the limit is arithmetic, not stubbornness.
How it works →
00:04:44:16
Watermark
Your text, in the corner you choose.
Burn a text watermark into the output at any of five anchor points. Free exports carry a small “Creovia” mark; Pro removes it and makes yours optional.
How it works →
Batch & merge
Many files through one setting, and many clips into one file — both carrying on in the background, with a progress notification you can cancel.
00:05:06:00
PROBatch convert
Set it once, for all of them.
Queue a folder's worth of files under one shared output spec, reorder them, and let the queue run in the background.
How it works →
00:05:20:08
Merge
Several clips, one file, in your order.
Add clips, put them in the order you want, pick a container, and write them out as a single video.
How it works →
Also on the bench — 11 one-tap presets (Email 25 MB, WhatsApp Status, Reels 9:16, YouTube 4K…) · Estimated output size & saving before you convert · Media-info inspector for any source file · Share a file in from any app · Save to your gallery or a folder you pick · Recent list kept 30 days, then cleared · Progress notification with Cancel · Conversions keep running in the background · Light & dark theme · Side rail on tablets and landscape · Hardware encoding where the device offers it · No accounts, no sign-in — nothing to register for
00:01:02:00Free and Pro
The free tier is a real converter.
No trial clock, no export counter, no credits. Here is the whole difference, in one table.
| Capability | Free | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Resolution | Up to 720p (plus 480p, custom, keep) | 1080p and 4K |
| Video codec | H.264 | H.264 and HEVC / H.265 |
| Output formats | MP4 · MOV · GIF · M4A | Adds MKV · MP3 · WAV |
| Batch queue | One file at a time | Unlimited queue |
| Watermark | Small “Creovia” mark on video exports | Removed — your own watermark optional |
| Ads | Banner, one in-feed ad, interstitial after a conversion | Removed entirely |
Pro is a single one-time payment, not a subscription — converting a file is an episodic job, so there is nothing to rent, renew or cancel. The price is read from Google Play, never hard-coded here, and shown in the store flow before you confirm. The free tier keeps working either way.
“Your file is opened by the picker, encoded by your phone, and written back to your storage. There is no step in the middle where we could see it.”
00:01:18:00Not yet
What Convert can't do today.
Every limit below is stated in the app too, on the control itself — we'd rather you knew before you started than found out mid-job.
- VP9 and AV1 can be read, but not written
- Reverse is capped at 60 seconds, and drops the audio
- GIF export is capped at 30 seconds
- 4K decoding depends on the device — some phones can't manage it
- Android only for now; iOS and macOS are in development
00:01:31:00Questions, answered
Before you ask.
Is Creovia Convert available yet?
Not yet — it's coming to Google Play, and the download button appears on this page the day the listing goes live. iOS and macOS share the same engine and follow after Android.
Does my video get uploaded anywhere?
No. Every conversion runs on your device, using the video hardware already in it. There are no content servers, nothing is uploaded, and the app converts perfectly well in airplane mode.
Do I need an account?
No — Convert has no accounts at all. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to. Your Pro purchase is tied to your Google Play account by Google, not to an account with us.
Is it free?
Convert is free, and the free tier is a real converter: every tool except MP3, WAV, MKV and the batch queue, at up to 720p, with ads and a small “Creovia” watermark on video exports. Pro lifts the resolution cap to 4K, adds HEVC and the remaining formats, unlocks the queue, and removes both the watermark and the ads. Pro is a single one-time payment — not a subscription, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. The price is read from Google Play and shown before you confirm.
Are there ads?
On the free tier, yes — a banner on most screens, one labelled in-feed ad in your Recent list, and a full-screen interstitial after a conversion finishes. They are served through Google AdMob, and only AdMob. An ad never covers a running conversion and never comes between you and a finished file, and in the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any personalised advertising. Pro removes both.
Which devices does Convert support?
Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer. Tablets and landscape phones get a side rail instead of the bottom bar, and there's no orientation lock. iOS and macOS versions are in development.
How accurate is the target file size?
Tell Convert a size in megabytes and it works backwards from the length of your clip to the bitrate that lands there, then holds that rate steady through the encode. The estimate is shown before you start, and the real before-and-after sizes on the result screen.
Where do my converted files go, and what does the app keep?
Output goes to your gallery or a folder you choose. The Recent list is a local index kept for 30 days and then cleared automatically; clearing it or uninstalling the app removes it. Files you saved to your gallery are ordinary files and stay until you delete them.
