00:01:33:08Convert & compress

Resize.

The resolution the destination actually wants.

Aspect lockFrame rate720p free · 4K Pro

Resolution is the bluntest compression there is: half the height is roughly a quarter of the pixels. When a clip only has to survive a messaging app or a slide deck, dropping it to 720p does more for the file size than any amount of bitrate fiddling — and nobody watching on a phone will notice.

Pick one of the standard sizes, type your own, or leave it at Keep and only change the container. Aspect lock keeps a custom width and height in proportion so you don't stretch faces by accident, and frame rate can come down to 24, 30 or 60 fps — or stay exactly as shot.

00:01:33:08How it runs

01

Standard rungs, or your own

4K/2160p, 1080p, 720p, 480p, Custom, or Keep. Free exports go up to 720p; 1080p and 4K are Pro.

02

Aspect lock

Type one dimension and the other follows, so a custom size never distorts the picture.

03

Frame rate too

Keep the source rate or move to 24, 30 or 60 fps — useful when a platform is picky about what it accepts.

04

Honest about hard cases

4K at 60 fps in H.264 is slow on most phones, and Convert says so on the spot — with HEVC suggested as the roughly-twice-as-fast alternative.
