These terms are an agreement between you and CREOVIA PRO LLP, a limited liability partnership incorporated under the (Indian) Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (LLPIN: ADA-3738)("we", "us"), the maker of the Creovia Convert app ("the app", "Convert") for Android — and for iOS and macOS, when released. By installing or using the app you accept them; they operate as the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for the app. If you don't agree, don't use the app. The website's separate terms are at creoviapro.com/terms; the app's privacy policy is at creoviapro.com/products/convert/privacy.
1. Who can use the app
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age your jurisdiction requires) and legally able to accept these terms. If you use the app on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have the authority to bind them.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own purposes (personal or commercial), subject to these terms and the rules of the store you got it from — Google Play's terms, or on Apple platforms the App Store's Terms of Use including the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract our source code or assets, except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction, or where an open-source licence covering a specific bundled component grants you those rights (see section 8).
3. No account needed
Convert has no accounts. There is nothing to register, nothing to sign in to, and no profile for us to hold. Your Pro entitlement, if you buy one, is held by Google Play against your Google account — so it follows that account to your other devices, and restoring it is a matter of tapping Restore purchase, not of recovering a password from us.
4. Your files are yours
- You keep every right to the videos, audio and images you convert with Convert, and to everything you export from it. We claim no ownership and take no licence over your files — we could not use them anyway: conversion happens on your device and we run no content servers.
- You are responsible for having the rights to the material you convert, and for how you use the output — including copyright in footage and music, and the rights of people who appear or can be heard in it. Converting a file does not create a licence to it.
- You must not use the app to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, or deceptive in a harmful way, or content sexualising minors (which we condemn absolutely and which is illegal everywhere).
5. Free tier, Pro, and purchases
- The free tier is fully functional within stated limits: exports up to 720p in H.264, the MP4, MOV, GIF and M4A output formats, one file at a time, and a small "Creovia" watermark burned into video exports, and it is ad-supported — the privacy policy sets out who serves those ads and what they receive. Audio-only exports carry no watermark.
- Pro raises the resolution cap to 4K, adds HEVC and the MKV, MP3 and WAV formats, unlocks the batch queue, and removes both our watermark and the ads. It is a single one-time purchase, not a subscription: nothing renews, nothing is billed again, and there is nothing to cancel. Current pricing is read from the store and always shown in the store flow before you confirm — never quoted by us in the app.
- It stays bought. The purchase is held by Google Play against your Google account, so it follows that account to your other devices and survives reinstalling. Restore it with Restore purchase in the app. Uninstalling does not revoke it.
- Discounts may be offered on the same product from time to time. The price shown before you confirm is the price you pay; a later discount does not change a completed purchase.
- Payments and refunds are handled entirely by Google Play or Apple, under their refund policies plus your statutory rights. We never receive your payment details. Where a payment is pending, Pro unlocks once the store confirms it cleared.
- Verification. We verify purchase receipts to prevent fraud, and may ask the store whether a purchase is still valid. A purchase that the store reports as refunded, cancelled or expired loses its Pro entitlement.
- We won't remove a capability you've paid for during a period you've already paid for.
6. What an on-device conversion does and doesn't guarantee
- Convert uses your device's own encoders and decoders. What is possible therefore depends on your hardware: HEVC encoding, 4K decoding and some format combinations are available only where the device supports them, and the app hides options the platform reports it cannot do. A file your device cannot decode cannot be converted by this app.
- Estimates are estimates. The predicted output size, the percentage saved and the predicted time are calculated from the settings you chose; real output depends on the content of the file. Target-size mode solves for a bitrate and encodes at a constant rate to approach the size you asked for — it aims at your target rather than guaranteeing it exactly.
- Stated limits are real limits, not placeholders: reversing is capped at 60 seconds and drops audio, GIF export is capped at 30 seconds, and a ringtone is capped at 40 seconds. Each is shown in the app on the control itself.
- Any conversion is a re-encode, and re-encoding a lossy file loses some quality. Keep your originals until you are happy with the output; the app does not delete or modify your source files.
- A long conversion continues in a background service where the platform allows it, but the operating system may stop background work under memory or power pressure, or at a platform-imposed time limit. Convert handles those cases as gracefully as it can, and cleans up partial files, but cannot override them.
7. System sounds and device settings
The ringtone tool can set a converted clip as your phone ringtone, notification sound or alarm. Doing so requires Android's "Modify system settings" permission, which the app requests at the moment you use the feature and for no other purpose. Changing a system sound changes your device's configuration; you can change it back in your system settings at any time.
8. Third-party and open-source components
Convert relies on third-party services for app-store billing, advertising, crash reporting, analytics and remote configuration (see the privacy policy). Their availability is not guaranteed by us, and third-party content — the ads themselves included — is theirs, not ours. It also includes open-source software, used in accordance with the licences those components are published under. The complete list, with each licence and a link to it, is in the app at Settings → Open-source licenses; the licence terms of those components govern them and, where a licence grants you rights that section 2 would otherwise restrict, that licence prevails.
9. Updates, changes, and discontinuation
We may update the app, add or remove features, and use remote configuration to enable, stage or disable features for stability, compliance or rollout — including requiring an update when an older version can no longer be supported safely. We may discontinue the app with reasonable notice. Because output files are stored on your device and in your own storage, files you already converted never depend on our servers.
10. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections that by their nature survive (your responsibility for the material you convert, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every file on earth will convert. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CREOVIA PRO LLP is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, files, profits or goodwill — including loss of source footage; please keep your originals until you have checked the output. Our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹1,000 / its equivalent if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your non-waivable statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Legal compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a comprehensive government embargo relevant to the app's distribution, and are not on any applicable list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with applicable export and sanctions laws, and with all local laws applicable to your use of the app.
14. Apple-specific terms (iOS and macOS)
When you use the app on an Apple device:
- These terms are between you and CREOVIA PRO LLP only — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- The licence in section 2 is limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts via Family Sharing where enabled.
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app — that's on us, at [email protected].
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims by you or any third party relating to the app — including product liability claims, claims the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection or similar claims, and claims of intellectual-property infringement. Apple may issue refunds of the purchase price where applicable; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.
15. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback about the app, you agree we may use them without restriction, obligation or compensation, and you claim no rights in improvements we build from them. (Your files remain yours — this covers feedback about the product, not your media.)
16. Intellectual-property complaints
If you believe material distributed with the app infringes your copyright or trademark, write to [email protected] with details of the right claimed, the material concerned, and your contact information. We review and act on substantiated complaints.
17. Force majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including outages of app-store or platform services, network failures, acts of government, or natural events.
18. Dispute resolution — talk to us first
Before starting formal proceedings, you and we agree to attempt good-faith resolution: describe the dispute to [email protected] and allow 30 days for resolution. If unresolved, section 19 applies.
19. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections and forum rights of the country where you live.
20. General
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Convert product or of CREOVIA PRO LLP. These terms, with the privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the app.
21. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always published at this URL with its effective date, and material changes are noted in the app's release notes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
