How to add a Zoom transition between two clips.

Tap the join between two clips in Creovia Creator, choose Zoom, set it to about a second, and preview the movement before exporting.

Before you start

A transition shapes the moment one clip hands over to the next. A straight cut is often the best choice; a transition earns its place when the two shots are very different, or when the edit needs a beat of movement.

In Creovia Creator transitions sit at the joins on the timeline, so you can see every one without opening a menu. Zoom pushes into the first shot and lands in the next.

  1. Step 1

    Put two clips side by side

    Start a blank project and add both clips. A transition lives at the join between two clips, so you need at least two on the timeline.

  2. Step 2

    Tap the transition marker at the join

    Scroll the timeline to where the first clip ends and the second begins, then tap the small marker between them to open the transition styles.

  3. Step 3

    Choose Zoom

    Swipe through the styles and pick Zoom. It pushes into the first shot and lands in the next, which hides a jump between two very different scenes.

  4. Step 4

    Set the duration to about one second

    One second is long enough to read as a movement and short enough not to stall the edit. Go shorter for fast, music-driven cuts.

  5. Step 5

    Preview across the join, then export

    Play from a little before the join to a little after it. If it looks right, open Export, choose Instagram Reels and save to Gallery.
